Through her experimental jewellery practice, Nanna Melland works with unconventional materials and engages with social, political, and cultural themes,encouraging viewers to reconsider assumptions about identity, power, and human experience.
Melland’s work is represented in the Nordenfjeldske Art and Design Museum, Trondheim, and has been exhibited internationally at the Pinakothek der Moderne, Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, and the Museum of Arts andDesign, New York.
In 2008, she received both the Academy of Munich’s Debut Prize and the Norwegian Craft Award for her diploma work.
